How Play Teaches Kids
What do kids learn through play? Even in a program that focuses on play and social/emotional development, kids learn academic skills through free and open play. If you have ever had a friend or family member ask you “BUT WHAT ABOUT ACADEMICS?’ this is the Caregiver Ed for you. SYC teachers provide real-world examples of the school readiness skills your child learns daily at SYC.
Free for current SYC families. $10 for visitors.
We will attempt to record the event, but suggest attending in person if possible so you can ask questions and participate in the conversation.
Child care for ages 2-7 available if there is enough interest, with a priority given to current families. Sign up will open about two weeks before each event and will close three days prior to the event. $8 per child, due at time of registration. No refunds unless child care is cancelled.
